Verzo Driver

Privacy Policy

Verzo Eats Private Limited · Effective 16 October 2026 · Last updated 16 October 2026

The short version

1. Who we are

This policy is published by Verzo Eats Private Limited ("Verzo", "we", "us"), which operates the Verzo Driver app and the dispatch service behind it. We decide how and why your personal data is processed, which makes us the Data Fiduciary for that data under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

2. What this policy covers

This policy covers delivery partners ("you") who sign up for or use the Verzo Driver app. It explains what personal data we collect about you, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have.

It does not cover customers who order food. A customer's information is governed by the privacy policy of the platform they ordered through.

3. What we collect

Information you give us

WhatDetails
AccountYour name, email address, phone number and a password. We never store your password in readable form; we store a one-way hash of it. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account identifier and email address from Google.
Identity verificationYour date of birth and home address. The numbers on your PAN card, driving licence and vehicle registration certificate. Photos of those documents, of your vehicle insurance, and a selfie. Your vehicle type and number plate. The time you accepted our terms.
PayoutsThe bank account holder's name, account number, IFSC and bank name, so we can pay you.

The app can read the number off a document photo to save you typing it. That reading happens on your phone; only the number you confirm is sent to us.

Information collected while you use the app

WhatDetails
LocationYour precise location while you are online, including when the app is in the background. See section 4.
Work activityOrder offers you receive, accept or decline, the deliveries you complete or cancel, the times of each step, and what you earned.
DeviceA notification token so we can send you order offers, an identifier the app creates for your installation, and your device's name, so that one shift is held on one phone at a time.
Crash reportsIf the app crashes or hits an error, a report containing technical details (device model, operating system and app version, and what the app was doing). The app also keeps a short activity log on your phone, which is only sent to us if you choose to share it.

What we do not collect

We do not access your contacts, messages, call logs, microphone, files or browsing history. Photos you take at the restaurant or at the customer's door currently stay on your phone and are not sent to us.

4. How we use your location

Your live position is held in a short-lived store and overwritten as you move. Apart from the single point recorded when you mark an order delivered, we do not keep a history of your movements.

5. Why we use your data

We process your data on the basis of the consent you give when you sign up, and, where the law permits, for legitimate uses such as meeting legal obligations. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account (section 10). We cannot offer you deliveries without the data above, so withdrawing consent ends your use of the service. It does not undo processing that happened before you withdrew.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

6. Who we share your data with

The restaurant ordering platform

Orders come to us from the food-ordering platform that the customer and restaurant use. To coordinate deliveries and payouts, we share with that platform: your name and phone number, your vehicle type and number plate, whether you are online, your current location and whether you are carrying an order, your approval status, your earnings balance, and whether your payout details are on file. When an order you are delivering changes status, we also tell the platform your first name.

Customers

Through the ordering platform, the customer for an order you are delivering can see your first name, your live location after pickup, and the drop-off point described in section 4. Customers never receive your phone number, surname, photo or documents from us.

Service providers

These companies process data on our behalf, under our instructions, to run the service:

ProviderWhat they do for us

SentryReceives crash and error reports from the app.
HostingerHosts the servers our service runs on.
Amazon Web ServicesStores our encrypted backups, in its Mumbai (India) region.

Google's handling of map and sign-in data is also covered by Google's own privacy policy.

When the law requires it

We may disclose data if we are legally required to, for example to a court, regulator or law-enforcement agency, or where it is necessary to protect someone's safety. If Verzo is reorganised, merged or sold, your data may pass to the new owner, who will remain bound by this policy.

7. How we protect your data

Some of our service providers, such as Google and Sentry, may process data outside India. When they do, it is under their contractual and security commitments to us.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we will inform you and the authorities as the law requires.

8. How long we keep your data

9. Your rights and choices

You have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, email info@verzo.in from the email address on your account. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, and we aim to respond within 30 days.

10. Deleting your account

You can delete your account in two ways:

When your account is closed, you are signed out on every device, you can no longer sign in to it, and you stop receiving offers and notifications. Section 8 explains what happens to your data afterwards. Step-by-step instructions are also at legal.dispatch.verzo.in/delete-account.

If you have an order in progress, please complete or cancel it first. If you think you are still owed earnings, contact us before deleting so we can settle them.

Verzo Driver is only for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy
